What would you do if you were paralysed from the breast bone down in an unexpected accident? Lead five men with life-changing injuries in a world-first journey to Kayak the length of Britain? That's what Darren Edwards did, and with only two working abs. In June 2021, in a World First attempt for any team (let alone an adaptive team) Darren, Luke, Carl, Ben and Jonny set off from Lands End, England into some of the most treacherous waters in the world.

Darren was paralysed  after a tragic climbing accident but knew that he had to still find a way to connect with his adventurous spirit. This journey saw the team paddle 1400km's along the coastline and up through the inland rivers to the tip of Scotland, the infamous John O'Groats. Tensions rose with the swell of the ocean as they adapted and overcame their physical challenges and mental demons.
