Ellie Cartwright
Documentary Shooting Director
Ellie Cartwright is a documentary shooting director with nearly two decades of experience in adventure, expedition and travel storytelling. Originally from the UK, she began her career working across BBC and Channel 4 factual programming.
Her work has taken her from five weeks at sea as Expedition Director on the Emmy-nominated Titanic: The Digital Resurrection to filming in rainforests, deserts, aboard superyachts and deep in the Australian bush. She now lives in Australia.
Her filmmaking combines cinematic visuals with an instinct for authentic, emotionally engaging storytelling.

Our mission
Create, educate, sustain.
Being female founded is where it began — with an aim to increase female filmmakers in the adventure space. We want to contribute by offering training to countries who don't have the level of training available to them that we have been able to receive.
By working with tourism boards and businesses we are making steps to increase the amount of skilled filmmakers in those countries. Our aim is to source the majority of our skilled crew from within each country itself and ensure sustainability is at the forefront of every production.
Story first
Every film begins with a story worth telling. We never pick up a camera until we know what we're trying to say.
Female founded
We began with a mission to increase female filmmakers in the adventure space. That focus shaped everything we do.
Sustainability
We are committed to sourcing skilled crew locally in every country we film in, reducing our footprint and building lasting capability.
Create and educate
Alongside our filmmaking we provide in-house video marketing training so your team can create content that gets results.
Let's make something together
Your story starts here.
We work with brands, tourism boards, and adventure companies who believe great storytelling changes everything.
